Jay Cutler Reveals ‘Fit-for-51’ Fitness Transformation Goal and Shares Workout for a Wider, Thicker Back – Fitness Volt

Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler is proving once again that age is just a number. In a recent YouTube video, Jay Cutler revealed that he’ll be taking on the “Fit-for-51” physical transformation challenge and got fans into a workout afterward.

Jay Cutler is nothing short of exemplary when it comes to bodybuilding. As a four-time champion of Mr. Olympia, Cutler demonstrated his determination and commitment to the sport by going up against greats such as Ronnie Coleman and Dennis Wolf. However, it was in 2009 that he established himself as a legend when he regained his title by defeating Branch Warren and Dexter Jackson, making him the first bodybuilder to ever regain the honor after surrendering it.

Even though Jay Cutler is now retired, that hasn’t stopped him from maintaining his impeccable physique. Last year, Cutler took on his “Fit-for-50” challenge to increase his fullness. After months of intense training, Cutler took the stage posing at the MuscleContest FitExpo 2023, where he showed off his incredible transformation.

In a recent YouTube video, Jay Cutler revealed that he will be embarking on another transformational journey this year for his “Fit-for-51” challenge. She shared that this year’s goals are similar to last year’s, where she was looking to be leaner and fuller.

“So what I will do this year is that I will work to get back in shape. Now, I don’t know what kind of shape I’m going to be in, but this year the goal is that last year it was to be a little bit tighter and leaner, this year it’s going to be bigger and leaner than ’23. So I’m challenging myself to be in better shape than last year.”

“This is the fit for 51. I’m going to start this transformation, so you’re going to hear it now in the next few YouTube videos over the next few months,” Cutler revealed.

Cutler hopes to present an even better look than last year when his fit-for-51 challenge ends.

“Again, we’re going to show that this is the transformation, but I’m hoping that this and I plan and we don’t wait, we’re going to have a better transformation than what we had on the 23rd at the 50-fit. How am I going to do that? It’s continuous training , of course the nutrition aspect, the cardio aspect… it’s always going to stay in the routine because it’s going to help me use the food.”

“Also, nutrition, to get in the best possible shape. I truly believe that with proper training and nutrition you can gain a certain amount of body fat. Remember, I’m not going on stage, so I’m not trying to get my glutes ripped.”

In addition to sharing his “Fit-for-51” transformation goal by 2024, Cutler took fans through an intense workout behind the scenes.

Jay Cutler’s Day After Workout

  • Pull down machine
  • Sweater machine
  • Hammer Strength Single Arm Isolateral Low Row
  • Incline Bar Row (Hand Grip)
  • Row machine with chest support
  • Back extensions

Pull down machine

To begin the workout, Cutler begins with the pull-down machine, explaining that this particular exercise provides a different feel and is similar to doing a pull-up.

“It gives you a different feel than a lot of bars. Obviously a lot of things are connected to a cable with a bar like this. This swing gives you a different feel. I can really, as I get under it, it’s like doing a pull-up , stretching the chest to the bar.”

Sweater machine

Moving on to the pullover machine, Jay Cutler emphasizes the stretch he’s getting and shows fans that he’s using his elbows to push his lats.

“You notice the stretches guys. Ideally, this is one of the most efficient machines to use. People go crazy for this chain-driven pullover, right? Notice, my elbows, I’m using my elbows to push my lats in. It’s not trying to get it all out, and I basically feel like I’m balancing with my hands, but I’m pushing with my elbows,” she explains. Hammer Strength Single Arm Isolateral Low Row

With this next exercise, Cutler offers options in case you don’t have access to that particular machine.

“I’m going to hold one side and repeat and then I’m going to hold and do the other side. It feels a little different so I want you to try it at home if you have this machine or you can do it even on this hammer row like this keep both of them going, do the reps, don’t let it go completely.”

Incline Bar Row (Hand Grip)

Cutler moves to incline bar rows and explains that he starts with lighter weights before moving up.

“It’s pretty self-explanatory. A little bit of 45 grip,” Cutler says. “Little lightweight to begin with.

Row machine with chest support

Next, Cutler moved into sets of chest-supported machine rows.

“He really gets that pressure.”

Back extensions

Cutler finished his workout with back extensions.

Aside from his own athletic pursuits, Cutler still keeps a close eye on the top contenders in the men’s open class. He recently backed Nick Walker to possibly win the next Mr. Olympia 2024 against Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford. Nick Walker will be invited to pose at the Pittsburgh Pro just before taking the stage at the 2024 New York Pro, where he intends to punch his ticket to the Olympia stage.

Having conquered the biggest stage in sports, Jay Cutler continues to inspire fans and new athletes even in retirement. Fans can expect to witness Cutler’s incredible “Fit-for-51” physical transformation in the coming months.
